A man has been banned from entering every TK Maxx in the country after stealing more than £1,400 worth of clothes from an Oxford branch. 

Valintin Richard, of Great West Road, Hounslow, pleaded guilty to stealing £1,408.50 worth of clothes on October 27 this year, Oxford Magistrates' Court heard.

The 30-year-old has now been banned from entering every TK Maxx in the country until October 28 next year. 

Richard must also complete 120 hours of unpaid work within 12 months and must pay court costs of £85. 

No orders were made for compensation, according to the court record.

TK Maxx was founded in 1994 and originated in the United States. It sells clothing as well as kitchen, bedroom and homeware essentials.
