A Bicester runner beat a famous national DJ by two minutes at the New York Marathon last weekend.
Debbie Gilbert, a member of Bicester Triathlon Club, completed the race on Sunday (November 3) in four hours and 50.16 minutes, two minutes quicker than Chris Evans, host of The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio, formerly of BBC Radio Two.
She said the race was "very undulating" with five bridges and an uphill finish.
