Veterans and military personnel attending Remembrance Day events this Sunday will have access to free bus travel.
Oxford Bus Group is extending the offer to all veterans and military personnel who are in uniform and can present their service ID, a veteran's badge, or service medals on November 10.
The free travel will be available on Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses, and Pulhams bus services.
The offer is only available on local bus services and does not apply to the airline or City Sightseeing Oxford.
Luke Marion, Oxford Bus Group managing director, said: "Remembrance Sunday is an important and sombre reminder of the sacrifices made by so many in our armed forces and we wanted to do something to help.
"We have veterans working in our business and we’re proud of their service, this is a small way in which we can say thank you and show our appreciation and gratitude."
Remembrance Day marks the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, when the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare.
Oxford Bus Group is also encouraging its drivers to observe the 11am two-minute silence by pulling into the nearest bus stop.
Passengers have been warned there may be diversions or congestion on some routes for part of the day, due to parades and events taking place in various cities, towns, and villages.
