In November, and its almost starting to feel like winter. The clocks have gone back, its getting dark earlier, and its starting to get cosy inside.
After bonfire night, Christmas is starting to appear on the shelves, and its only a matter of time before markets and light festivals begin.
What was it like in Oxfordshire at this time of year back in the 1970s?
We've had a look back through the Oxford Mail archive and come up with a snapshot of life in November in the 70s.
From rowing regattas and racing boats to pub openings and employee strikes, it was all happening. A special mention has to go to Roy Young, who performed in North Hinksey in November 1970.
