A McDonald’s site is set to reopen after a nine-week closure for renovations to improve efficiency for customers.
The restaurant at Milton Heights Service Area in Didcot will be back tomorrow, Wednesday, November 5, having undergone a nine-week redesign, part of a large-scale overhaul of the company’s venues.
The Convenience of the Future programme aims to provide a more seamless customer experience.

Ismail Anilmis, who owns and operates 19 McDonald’s restaurants in the Oxford area, said: “I’m proud to reinvest in our Milton Heights Service Area restaurant - especially as McDonald’s celebrates its 50th anniversary in the UK this year.
"It’s exciting to see the fresh new look and feel of the restaurant and I’m confident the changes will not only benefit our customers but also our staff as they will help make their jobs a little easier."
Part of the new model includes diverse ways to buy a meal, with in-store, online, and MyMcDonald’s app orders all integrated into the new system.
The Didcot site now has separate front counters dedicated to the different sales methods to shorten queues and an increased kitchen space to prepare the orders separately.

Reflecting the increased demand for delivery orders, the refurbished restaurant also has a separate entrance and waiting area for delivery couriers.
Improvements were made outside the restaurant too, with parking for delivery drivers and modified traffic routes to make it easier for Drive-Thru and Click & Collect customers to pick up their food.
Customers can visit the remodelled space from tomorrow.
