A statement from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two fire appliances from Rewley Road Fire Station and one from Slade Park Fire Station attended this incident in the early morning of Friday. A large goods vehicle (LGV) came off the highway of the M40 and ended up on its side.
“Crews worked closely with Highways England to ensure the safe closure of the M40 for a short period of time.
“As the nights are drawing in even quicker and the weather is deteriorating, please make sure that you drive to the conditions.
"Ensure that your vehicle (whether it be an LGV, a three door city car or even a scooter) is fit for purpose with fluids topped up and tyres checked.”
