A popular sports ground in Bicester has closed at weekends 'until further notice' due to 'unfortunate and unavoidable' circumstances.
Bicester Town Council announced that Whiteland's Farm Sports Ground would be closed on Saturday and Sunday 'until further notice' on Tuesday (October 29).
The sports ground, located on Whitelands Way, is Bicester's "premier sports facility" used for sports including football and rugby.
It also has a perimeter track for runners and cyclists to use.

A statement from Bicester Town Council posted on Facebook said: "The circumstances are both unfortunate and unavoidable and we will do everything we can to return the service as soon as possible."
A number of town councillors have told the Oxford Mail they were not informed about this.
One of these was Conservative councillor Donna Ford, who said: "I am thoroughly disappointed that councillors have not been made aware.
"I emailed the chair of environment last night for an explanation, however I am yet to hear back."
The Oxford Mail has contacted the town clerk, Phil Evans, for more information.
