An Oxfordshire runner came ninth place in a marathon last week.
Mark Burrows, a member for Bicester Triathlon Club, ran the muddy swamp fest Blackpool Zoo to Beacon Fell marathon on Sunday (October 26) in four hours 45 minutes 28 seconds.
Starting at Blackpool Zoo and taking place for the second year, Mr Burrows was one of 40 runners.
Elsewhere, club member Alexis Tonkin raced the Big Stratford Half marathon - her very first half marathon - in a time of two hours 40 minutes 44 seconds.

Mark Richards, another Bicester Triathlon Club member, raced the Marbella 70.3 half ironman in a time of seven hours 10 minutes 25 seconds.
Bicester Triathlon Club welcomes athletes of all skill levels, with training groups designed to cater to various age groups.
Established in 2012, club welcomes children from seven years old all the way through to adults.
