A man from Oxfordshire has avoided jail after he assaulted an emergency worker.
Martin Cox, aged 51, of Couldrey Close, Abingdon, has been charged with common assault of an emergency worker using threatening, abusive and insulting words and behaviour to cause harassment, alarm and distress.
Thames Valley Police announced on Sunday he was arrested by officers from the neighbourhood team after he was witnessed breaching his Community Behaviour Order in Abingdon.

He was further arrested for public order and assault on an emergency worker after he spat at a police community support officer (PCSO) twice.
He was then charged, remanded and appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 8 where he was sentenced to four weeks in prison which has been suspended for 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £154.
