Emma Raducanu has hit back at national newspapers after she was spotted boarding a London bus.
The 21-year-old has had a topsy-turvy year having been knocked out of Wimbledon in the fourth round to Lulu Sun before then declining to play at the Olympics in Paris.
Her main focus was the US Open with her aim to replicate her 2021 success and win the trophy but an opening match defeat saw her exit the tournament in tears.
She has also taken part in smaller opens throughout summer and autumn but is yet to win anything, being hampered by injuries throughout that period too.

Raducanu recently revealed that she would not be able to play in Hong Kong due to injuries and was hoping to compete in the Billie Jean King Cup.
Following this statement, she was spotted boarding a London bus on Monday, October 28 with the Daily Mail and The Sun covering the story with photos of the young tennis pro.
Having seen she was the subject of the news, Raducanu poked fun at the coverage and the photos by sharing one of the pictures on her Instagram story.
Along with the black and white shot of her getting onto the bus, she added a caption consisting of a laughing emoji followed by a rolled-up newspaper.
