The air ambulance service has provided a statement following a serious bus incident near the Westgate Centre in Oxford over the weekend.
Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service were called to an incident on board a bus just after 3.15pm on Saturday (October 26) after a man in his 30s fell down the stairs and sustained serious injuries.
The bus was in Castle Street at the time of the incident. The injured man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Thames Valley Air Ambulance has now confirmed it was also in attendance.
A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident near Westgate Oxford on Saturday."
They were unable to provide further details.
The man’s family are aware and Thames Valley Police said an investigation is being conducted into the circumstances.
