A key section of the A34 have been closed off overnight as motorists are urged to plan ahead of travelling.
The A34 northbound is closed from Hinksey Hill to Peartree Interchange near Oxford tonight (Friday, October 25).
Planned works are taking place after a closure was also in place on Thursday night.

The road has been shut off for resurfacing works and is due to reopen at 6am on Saturday.
OxonTravel, a traffic account run by Oxfordshire County Council, warned motorists to be aware of the closure in a public social media post this evening.
But the works, which are listed on the National Highways website, have been catching some motorists out.
One driver, who asked not to be named, said he was travelling from the Blackbird Leys area to Botley on Thursday night but encountered a road closure at the Hinksey Hill slip road for the A34 at around 10pm.
He said: "It caught me unawares and there were clearly a lot of others in the same position.
"I noticed a fair few lorries on the roundabout which had to make a last minute change of direction. It is not ideal after a series of separate closures in recent months on the A34 such as the Botley Interchange works for SGN works.
"It does have a big impact on Oxford's wider network of roads with Botley Road being closed near the train station."
It comes as emergency works are also taking place on the A34 southbound between Islip and Oxford following a collision on Thursday night.
The barrier is being repaired after the crash which continued to cause major delays on Friday afternoon as works are expected to last until Saturday.
National Highways stated there were delays of 40 minutes with 5.5 miles of congestion shortly after 3pm.
One lane remains closed southbound for this work to be carried out.
A statement issued by National Highways on Friday evening said: "These repairs are likely to remain ongoing into tomorrow until a permanent repair can be carried out. We will keep you updated."
