Faringdon Community College is celebrating the "impressive" results of its GCSE religious education students.

Fourteen students achieved the highest possible grade, a grade 9, in their RE GCSE, while 44 per cent of those who entered the course received a grade 7 or above.

Headteacher Jonathan Dennett said: "These impressive results are a great reward for the engagement and hard work of Faringdon Community College students, alongside the skill, expectations, and ambition of the dedicated staff team."

He added: “We are especially proud that the students achieved these results in Year 10.

"This has given them great confidence as they look forward to future success in their final exams in the summer.”

Faringdon Community College is a mixed comprehensive school with more than 1,400 pupils aged 11 to 18.
