More children and young people are set to learn how they can reduce the impact of climate change following a £10,000 donation to a Henley-based charity.
Young Climate Warriors has received the funding boost from the Benefact Group's Movement for Good Awards.
The charity supports schools and communities across the UK, improving climate literacy and inspiring children to take action against climate change.
The donation will enable Young Climate Warriors to expand its resources, creating new eco-club 'starter packs' for schools and recruiting more ambassadors to deliver climate change assemblies across the UK.
Katrina Judge, founder and director of Young Climate Warriors, said: "Young Climate Warriors is extremely grateful for the opportunities provided by this grant from the Benefact Group.
"The award means we will be able to reach and inspire thousands more children across the UK, helping them learn, understand, and feel empowered to reflect, discuss, and choose their own informed path of action in response to our climate crisis."
The charity is one of several to receive funding from the Movement for Good Awards, which, for the sixth year running, is giving away more than £1 million to charities across the year.
Chipping Norton-based FarmED, a centre for farming and food education focusing on the link between good farming and good food, also won a £10,000 grant, while a further two Oxfordshire charities received £1,000 each.
Mandala Theatre Company, based in Oxford, uses theatre and creativity as a force for social change, while Watlington-based Cavernoma Alliance UK runs a helpline offering practical and emotional support from volunteers with lived experience of the medical condition cavernoma.
Mark Hews, group chief executive at Benefact Group, said: "We would like to thank every single person who took the time to nominate a good cause as part of our Movement for Good Awards.
"Benefact Group is a family of award-winning specialist financial services companies and the third largest corporate donor to charity in the UK.
"Owned by a charity ourselves, charitable giving is at the heart of what we do.
"All of our available profits go to good causes and the more the group grows, the more the group can give.
"We are delighted to be able to donate over £1 million to good causes each year through our Movement for Good Awards and are grateful to all our supporters, including the customers of the trusted insurer, Ecclesiastical, and the responsible and sustainable asset manager, EdenTree."
The Benefact Group has donated more than £200 million to charitable causes since 2014 and aims to reach £250 million in donations by 2025.
