One customer last month said: “Absolutely fantastic meal, service was great, food was delicious.
“So glad that we called in without having booked. Celebrated our 27th anniversary with a meal to remember.”

Yet Vale of White Horse District Council’s Environmental Health team were not as impressed during their visit on Thursday, August 29.
Handing the business a poor food hygiene rating of two-out-of-five, the report said that improvement was “necessary” at the venue.

This includes having an appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control to enable good food hygiene.
Despite these issues, the eatery’s management of food safety was rated as being of a “generally satisfactory” standard.
