A resident of an Oxfordshire care home recently celebrated her 101st birthday.
Margaret Loose, who has been living at Benson House near Wallingford for the last 18 months, celebrated the special milestone surrounded by her family and staff.
The care home said Ms Loose so wanted to keep her special day quiet.
However, fellow residents and staff wouldn’t allow her to.

Benson House put on an afternoon tea for her family and residents to enjoy her special day.
Head Chef Marcella baked Margaret her favourite victoria sponge birthday cake, while all the residents joined some of her family in singing happy birthday in the lounge.
Ms Loose appeared delighted as she was presented with the cake.
Benson House provides nursing, residential and dementia care for up to 70 residents on a permanent and short stay basis.
