Gez Wells has applied for a plaque at 8 New College Lane to commemorate Belgian refugees who were housed by New College during the First World War.
In the planning documents, it says: “The year 2024 marks the 110th anniversary of the start of World War I. The Warden and Fellows of New College Oxford seek to commemorate the fact that Belgian refugees were housed at the college during the Great War.
"They were housed both in New College Lane and in a property in Longwall which the college rented at that time.”
Plans have been submitted by Muhammad Nadeem to change the use of a house in Bullingdon Road into a house of multiple occupancy.
This means more than two people can live there from different household. They are common places for students to live.
The scheme also includes bin and cycle storage. The plans show it will be divided into four bedrooms.
The Parish Church of St Mary, in Bayswater Road, has applied for a single storey extension, alterations to fenestration and associated infilling of opening, three passive roof vents and ventilation, alterations to access and landscaping and bike storage.
In the planning papers, it said: “The proposals will improve accessibility and will provide a more inclusive environment by way of spatial planning and the provision of accessible facilities.
"The church is committed to creating an inclusive society and it is fundamental that this value is reflected in their built environment.”
Patricia Meade has submitted an application for the demolition of an existing single storey extension to build a new one at a property in Fern Hill Road.
The designs show that the new extensions will be slightly wider. This application also includes a bin and bike storage.
