Oxfordshire alt-rock band Lake Acacia has released a new single.
The song, called 'Broken,' was released on October 4 and is the third track the Banbury-based band has produced with legendary music producer Glen Robinson.
Mr Robinson is renowned for working with famous artists and bands including The Ramones, U2, David Bowie and Dave Grohl.
'Broken' was inspired by a riff used in a live set a couple of years ago.
The crowd's enthusiastic response prompted the band to develop it into a full song.
Tim Groethe, Lake Acacia's lead vocalist, explained the song's theme, saying: "The song is about trying to rekindle a broken relationship with somebody you were once very close with.
"They’ve become distant and it’s killing you not knowing why, as there’s nothing you can do to fix it."
The collaboration with Glen Robinson came about by chance when the producer stumbled across Lake Acacia's Facebook account.
He quickly became interested in working with them, saying: "I listened to about half of a song and I knew that I wanted to work with these guys.
"I’m onboard with what they’re doing."
Lake Acacia's new single 'Broken' will be part of their performance at the Reading Rising event on November 23.
This follows their recent two gigs as part of their Autumn tour.
