The Oxford Mail has opened a book of condolence for a woman after police located a dead body in the River Cherwell in Oxford.
Thames Valley Police recovered the body from the River Cherwell today (Sunday, October 20).
Officers believe the body to be that of 67-year-old missing woman Zhihui who the police have published a number of public appeals to find.
A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: “We can provide an update in connection with a missing person investigation in Oxford.

“This month we have published several public appeals to find the missing woman, Zhihui, aged 67.
“Sadly, a body was recovered from the River Cherwell today.
“The body is believed to be that of Zhihui. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
“Out of respect to Zhihui’s family, we would ask both the public and media to delete any of our previous public appeals to find Zhihui.”
