A pensioner has been taken to hospital following a serious car crash in Oxfordshire.
The incident occurred around 8.30am today (Sunday, October 20) when two cars travelling in opposite directions collided on Howland Road in Thame.
A woman driving a grey Fiat 500 was not seriously injured and has been taken to the hospital by her daughter.
The car was seriously damaged in the crash with its front right wheel coming off during the major collision as well as the metalwork being hit.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and shared an update on social media along with photographs showing the extensive damage to the vehicle.
A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Elderly driver has a lucky escape.
“Just after 8.30am this morning Fire Crews from Thame, Oxford and Watlington attended a Road Traffic Collison on Howland Road in Thame.
“Two cars had collided when travelling in opposite directions.
“An elderly driver of one of the vehicles that suffered extensive damage was badly shaken, but fortunately not seriously injured and able to be taken to hospital by her daughter. “

Station manager Andy Ford added: “This is a timely reminder for all drivers to take extra care, especially at this time of year.
“Remember: always Drive at a safe speed, don't use a mobile phone when driving, never drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol and always wear a seatbelt.”
