The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

TREVOR FRANCIS, 45, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to eight counts of theft from a shop in Oxford and one count of common assault on September 9 this year in Oxford. He was jailed for 42 weeks and he was ordered to pay £50 in compensation.

MARK GILL, 45, of Cowley Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a shop on October 31 last year after stealing items of clothing to an unknown value from Primark in Oxford. He was fined £100. There were court costs of £40.

FRANK HOLLYWELL, 32, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to entering or/and remaining on a premise in Walton Street, Oxford on February 29 this year after being prohibited to do due to an anti-social behaviour order made at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on December 13 last year. He as given a period of conditional discharge for six months. There were no orders for costs.

BEN MCNICHOLL, 38, of Rookwood Close, Cardiff, was found guilty to failing to provide a specimen for testing in High Wycombe on June 23 this year. He was given a community order to complete 80 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, reduced by 18 weeks for a course. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

DANIEL JONES, 19, of Chilton Field Way, Chilton, Didcot, pleaded guilty to breaching a criminal behaviour order on June 29 this year in Didcot after entering an exclusion zone. He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to court/police bail on July 18 this year, possession of a Class C drug, namely bromazolam Xanax on August 25, 2022 in Didcot, and possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis, on the same day. He was given a community order to complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity. There were court costs of £85. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs.

NICHOLAS HENDON, 32, of Chalvey Road, Bicester, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop on July 8 this year after stealing £143.08 worth of meat from Aldi, on July 19 in Bicester he stole £353 worth of alcohol from Sainsburys, and on July 4 he stole £203 worth of alcohol from Sainsburys in Bicester. He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to court/police bail on September 2. He was given a community order to complete nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and up to five days of rehabilitation activity. He was also ordered to pay £50 in compensation. There were no other orders of costs.
