Armed police were seen after a 17-year-old was arrested in Oxfordshire on Wednesday afternoon.
Thames Valley Police officers were called at around 2.45pm to reports of a disorder in Wootton Road, Abingdon.
A 17-year-old boy from Abingdon has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
Officers confirmed no one was injured but, following the incident, authorised a Section 60 order which will include Wildmoor and Northcourt.

The order, which gives officers extra powers to carry out stop and search checks, was in place throughout last night and will remain so today (Thursday, October 17).
It will cover Wootton Road, Vineyard, Oxford Road and Dunmore Road.
This has led to locals spotting armed police in the town on Wednesday night.
Inspector Michael Havers said: “We have put this Section 60 order in place in a specific area of Abingdon to prevent potential violence.
“The order will give our officers extra powers to carry out stop and search activity, and has been enacted for the safety of the public.

“If you are in the area and have any concerns, you can speak to any of our officers who will be on patrol throughout this evening and tomorrow.
