The chairman of Oxford City Council's planning committee has had a second application permitted in successive meetings for alterations to a property in Headington.

Mary Clarkson applied for changes to indoor areas to include the reduction in size of the ground floor entrance lobby, relocation of a door opening into the TV room and refurbishment of the kitchen at a property in Dunstan Road.

This comes after Ms Clarkson had an application permitted for a single-storey rear infill extension, the removal of a window and door, as well as the addition of four windows, which was permitted at a meeting in September.

The application was brought before the committee because all schemes submitted by councillors or council staff must be aired in public.

Ms Clarkson did not chair the meeting for the item, so was deputised by Laurence Fouweather.
