Reader Kate Dobson has complained in a letter about traffic jams following the Oxford Half Marathon on Sunday.
Here is my regular lament about the ill-managed traffic jams after the Oxford Half Marathon 2024 event.
Once again we had the Banbury Road closed (why can’t a route be devised without?) and once again the number two bus took three times as long as normal to go from the city centre to the ring road.
There were huge numbers of cars, and Woodstock Road was further slowed by roadworks.
Whose planning wisdom was that?
As the song says, “When will they ever learn?”
