A jury has found a man guilty of assaulting his fiancée after a fight he claims started because she had reportedly committed a murder.
Liam Cooper, 48, of Spitfire Drive, Witney, was on trial at Oxford Crown Court accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation, and criminal damage after an incident in February this year.
The defendant was found guilty of assaulting his fiancée after an argument, which he claims started because he found out she had reportedly committed a murder.

During her evidence, his fiancée denied this.
Cooper was found not guilty of the counts of strangulation and criminal damage.
He will now be sentenced at the same court on November 8.
He will remain in custody until this date.
