Three men on mopeds and bikes chased a group of people who were in a Mercedes as one pursued the car with a large knife.

At approximately 1.40pm on Monday, the occupants of a Mercedes SUV were chased along Nowell Road, Mortimer Road, Lenthal Road and Ashurst Way by a group of three males.

One male was on a black moped with a top box and he had a large knife which was used to strike the Mercedes. The other two males were on either e-bikes or bicycles.

The male on the moped is described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall and of a slim build.

The offenders were seen to be wearing dark tracksuits and dark face coverings.

Both offenders on the bikes are described as males of a mixed ethnic background and were wearing a dark tracksuit and face covering.

Investigating officer sergeant Lewis Michael, based at Oxford Police Station, said: “We are appealing for information following this incident.

“We are asking anyone with information to please call 101 quoting reference 43240494782.

“I would particularly like to hear from anyone with CCTV, dash-cam, or mobile footage, which can be uploaded to the online portal.
