Oxford has been named among the most haunted cities in the UK.
The city is full of historic buildings and streets leading to it being ranked fifth among fellow spots for paranormal sightings.
A study by Affordable Urns has shown there have been 30 reported sightings in Oxford which has a high Paranormal Activity Score of 58.08.
With the news that the city is ranked highly for paranormal activity and Halloween around the corner, we have compiled the ultimate Oxfordshire haunted locations list.

Here is our haunted spots list:
Oxford Castle, city centre
The castle was named home to the “most-seen ghost of 2009” with 32 people claiming to have seen Queen Matilda, who was incarcerated in the former prison in the 12th century, from 2006.
People report that she appears as a strange, hooded figure formed of white mist. Other shadowy figures have also been reported including poltergeist activity.
Guests are able to book a paranormal tour of the castle and grounds or even a sleepover in one of the old prison cells.
Blenheim Palace, Woodstock
The first Duke of Marlborough is believed to have haunted the palace before Winston Churchill was born.
There have since been alleged sightings of Roundhead soldiers over the palace with some of the more common sightings describing soldiers huddling by the fireplace. Poltergeist activity has also been reported.
Christ Church College, city centre
The college is said to be haunted by a headless Charles I. He turned the college into his palace during the Civil War.
After being defeated by Oliver Cromwell's Parliamentarians, the royal was convicted of treason in 1649, sentenced to death and executed outside the Banqueting Hall in Whitehall.
It is said his spirit haunts the hallways without his head and the most notable sightings of him in the Bodleian Library, where he had once been denied the right to borrow books.
Oxford Playhouse, city centre
A woman in a white veil covering her face is believed to stalk the stairwells of the Oxford Playhouse, which used to be an old nunnery, as well as St Sepulchre’s churchyard, in Walton Street.
The churchyard is said to be populated with the ghosts of former deans and porters of Oxford University.
Minster Lovell Hall Ruins, Minster Lovell
The ruins of Minster Lovell Hall lie beside the River Windrush.
The 15th Century Manor House was built in the 1430s by William, Baron of Lovell and Holland who was one of the richest men in the country.
The property later belonged to Francis, Viscount Lovell, a close ally of Richard III and his ghost is said to haunt the grounds still to this day.
The Holt Hotel, Bicester

The hotel dates back to the 15th century and was once a coaching inn. It is said to be haunted by the spirit of highwayman Claude Duval.
He is reportedly seen walking around the corridors of the hotel at night and occasionally he is even seen inside some of the bedrooms.
Guests frequently report hearing his heavy footsteps.
