A major Oxford street was cordoned off this week as police officers descended.
New High Street in Headington was cordoned off by Thames Valley Police yesterday morning (Friday, October 11).
Locals were left wondering why the street by the Headington Shark house had been taped off by officers while a strong police presence was noticed.
The force has now revealed that the reason for their callout wad a report of rape in the area in the early hours of Friday.
