Groups and individuals, young and old, flocked to take part in three performances of a show with music, dance and drama.

Among those who appeared in Tam Lin, a tale going back to Saxon times, were the singers above, Robert Legg, 11, and Sian Jones, 10.

St Helen’s Church in Abingdon was chosen as the venue for the show in 1990.

Among those taking part were the Young Gaolers recorder group from the Abingdon Music Centre and local morris dancers.

Before the performances, the audiences were invited to rehearse some of the songs so that they could join in during the show.

Some parts of the church date from the late 12th or early 13th century.

St Helen’s is a Grade I listed building.
