The medical cause of death of an Oxfordshire footballer has been confirmed during an inquest opening.
Jack Badger, a 24-year-old who used to play football for Abingdon United, died on September 17.
The former carpenter and joiner, of Savile Way, Grove, died near Northfield Farm, Challow after being struck by a train. His death was verified by attending police officers at 9.13am.

An inquest was opened into his death at Oxford Coroner’s Court on Thursday (October 3).
It was heard that, following a post-mortem examination, his medical cause of death has been provided as one of ‘multiple injuries’.
The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been heard in the coroner’s court.
A date for a full inquest into his death has been scheduled for January 13 at 3pm by coroner Nicholas Graham.
Following his death, tributes have poured in for Mr Badger from friends, family, and football clubs across the county.
On Friday, October 4, a tribute match between Abingdon United and Wantage Town took place at the former club’s home pitch in memory of Mr Badger.

A record crowd of 1,567 people attended the Challenge Cup fixture, with more than £31,000 being raised to pay for his funeral and support Mr Badger’s family.
The GoFundMe page, set up by Abingdon United, now has a total of £32,153 raised from over 1,000 donations.
