Chiltern Railways has put its first refurbished train into service.

The Class 168 fleet is undergoing a refresh programme to improve customer journeys.

The first upgraded train is now operational, with the entire fleet expected to be completed and back in service within two years.

The refurbishment includes new seat covers and cushions, upgraded toilet facilities, new carpets, improved Wi-Fi, a fresh exterior repaint, and full LED lighting.

Chiltern Railways said on X, formerly known as Twitter: "We’re looking forward to welcoming you onboard the first of our fully refurbished Class 168 trains, which is now in service."
