The release date has been revealed for a new ITV crime drama starring Endeavour’s Shaun Evans.

The actor played the titular character for 11 years of the Oxford-filmed Endeavour before the much-loved series came to an end with its final episode on March 12, 2023.

Fans of Mr Evans were delighted to hear that he would be returning to screens again in partnership with ITV once again.

Until I Kill You is another crime drama series but this time covers a true story and will also star Line of Duty and Motherland star Anna Maxwell Martin.

Despite the series being announced months ago, speculation over the show’s release has been rife after it was aired in other countries such as New Zealand.

ITV have now confirmed that the highly anticipated show will air next month for a week with four episodes and a documentary to come.

A spokesperson for ITV told the Oxford Mail: “The drama tells the extraordinary true story of Delia Balmer (Anna Maxwell Martin), who survived a near-fatal relationship with murderer John Sweeney (Shaun Evans).

“Airing on ITV1 and ITVX next month, the series will air over four consecutive nights followed by a companion documentary Until I Kill You: The Real Story.”
