The star of the Oxford-set television series Endeavour will make a surprise return to the city later this year.
Shaun Evans played Endeavour Morse for more than nine seasons of the ITV crime drama from its first episode in 2012 to its climax in 2023.
The actor was often filming in Oxford with fans spotting him at locations such as Radcliffe Camera and Christ Church College.
He will now make a special appearance at Christ Church Cathedral in December for Macmillan’s carol service, Follow the Stars.
