England football legend David Seaman MBE raised £18,000 at a charity fishing match in Oxfordshire.
Mr Seaman, former Arsenal and England goalkeeper, hosted the first Catch of the Day fishing event at Linear Fisheries near Witney to raise funds for The Willow Foundation.
The charity, of which he is honorary president, helps young people living with serious illness.
Over two days 35 people cast lines at the lakes in Stanton Harcourt in the hope of catching the biggest carp and catfish.
Winner Adam Garrett caught a 34lb carp, and Chris Wilkins took the prize for a 55lb catfish.

Steve Leslie was runner up in both competitions.
The group also featured some of the biggest names in fishing including Lee Mozza Morris, Damian Clarke, Scott Lloyd, Tom Maker and Nigel Botherway.
Mr Seaman said: “It was incredible to host my very first Willow event and to meet so many of our supporters around the lake.
"I’d like to say a special thank you to all of our generous sponsors and everyone who attended to help make the weekend a great success.”
In August, England football star Phil Foden fished St John's Pool at Linear Fisheries during a break after England made it all the way to the final of the European Championship.
The fishery is well known across the UK and offers 17 different fishing spots.
