Firefighters in Wantage, Oxfordshire have been undergoing specialist training in order to deal with car crashes.
A spokesperson for Wantage Fire Station said: “Over the last few drill nights, the crew at Wantage have been practising and familiarising themselves with the tools and techniques we use at RTCs (road traffic collisions).
“At drill this week, the crew were faced with a two-car RTC scenario with a firefighter pretending to be a casualty who was medically and mechanically trapped.

“The crew worked together to make the area safe, stabilise both vehicles, create space, and extricate the casualty as if it was real life.”
