A road has been closed in a market town to make way for an annual fair.

The Woodstock Charter Fair is taking place from Sunday (October 6) to Wednesday (October 9).

It is held on the public highway in Market Street, Market Place, Park Street and High Street.

The road closures are from 10am Sunday to 3am on Wednesday. Vehicles are also preventing from parking in the area as well as waiting in the area.

Writing about the road closure, Oxford County Council said: "The measures will reduce danger to the public by prohibiting vehicles from the event area and regulate surrounding road use to facilitate the safe passage of traffic and pedestrians."
