A national property consultancy has marked 100 years in Oxford.

Carter Jonas celebrated the milestone with an event at the Ashmolean Museum on September 19.

More than 150 clients, colleagues, and partners attended the event, enjoying entertainment and networking opportunities.

Attendees also had the chance to view the museum’s major exhibition, Money Talks.

Carter Jonas originally launched in Oxford in 1924 after acquiring Castle Field & Castle.

This was the firm’s third office, following openings in Cambridge in 1855 and London in 1909.

The Oxford office now has a team of more than 100 people who support both major developments and local initiatives.

James Bainbridge, chairman of Carter Jonas, said: "We were excited to host our guests at the Ashmolean Museum, marking our 100 years in Oxford.

"It was a great opportunity to express our gratitude for their continuous support and friendship.

"Although our business has evolved significantly since its establishment in 1924, our teams are still inspired by this wonderful city.

"Oxford, known for its rich history and architectural heritage, continues to strive for excellence as a centre of innovation.

"Those of us working to support its development value these aspects.

"We are passionate about both the elements that have shaped its reputation and those that will maintain its success as a globally significant city in the future."

He highlighted that the company has expanded over the last century to become a 'truly national, multidisciplinary property consultancy,' with 33 offices and more than 1,000 employees.
