Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital car park has been revealed as one of the cheapest in the UK.

New data from Moneybarn Car Finance looked into the price of two hours of parking at 50 of the busiest hospitals around the country to reveal the most and least expensive ones to park at.

John Radcliffe Hospital on Headley Way was named the UK’s fifth most affordable with visitors expected to pay £2.70 for a two-hour stay, making it one of the most affordable options for hospital parking nationwide.

The motoring experts at Moneybarn Car Finance looked into the price of two hours of parking at 50 of the busiest hospitals around the country to reveal the most and least expensive ones to park at.

Salford Royal Hospital’s car park in Salford is the cheapest, coming in at £2.00 while Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford was joint second at £2.50.

Furness General Hospital in Barrow-in-Furness was also second with £2.50 as Poole Hospital in Poole was slightly more expensive at £2.60.

Alongside Oxford’s main hospital at £2.70 was Blackpool Victoria Hospital in Blackpool, Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in Exeter and Torbay Hospital in Torquay.

Manchester Royal Infirmary has the most parking spaces of any hospital in the UK, with 3,388 parking spaces.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, located in one of the most affluent areas of London, has the highest parking fees, charging £7.00 for just 2 hours of parking.
