Police disturbed a sleeping security guard while responding to a potential burglary.
Officers were called to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked outside a shop on Faringdon Market Place yesterday evening (October 4).
The caller's suspicions were raised because the lights had come on inside the shop even though it was closed.
Officers from Thames Valley Police's rural crime taskforce went to investigate.
However, once inside the shop they found no crime was taking place.
The officers disturbed the security guard who had dropped off to sleep in a chair on the shop floor.
Police said: "We are pleased to report that no burglary was in progress."
