Drivers are being urged to take extra care this morning due to patchy fog on many roads.
The temperature is currently above average in the north-west of the UK, and below average further south.
In central and southern England, including Oxfordshire, the temperature is just a few degrees above freezing.
Oxfordshire County Council said there are reports of fog this morning on many roads across the county.
Once the early fog has lifted, the Met Office is forecasting a sunny day changing to partly cloudy by early evening.
The temperature will reach 16 degrees/7C.
