Police closed a road in Oxfordshire as onlookers spotted a person “on the ground”.
The incident occurred on Wootton Road in Abingdon at roughly 8.30am this morning (Thursday, October 3) close to the Aldi supermarket.
Police cars and an ambulance arrived at the scene in a large emergency response as Thame Valley Police officers then closed the road.
An onlooker said: “There was an issue.

“Someone was on the ground [at] about 8.40am and lots of people crowded around on the King’s Gate side of the crossing by Aldi.
After being closed in the morning, the road opened up later on in the day but no official reason was given by the emergency services for their presence at the scene.
The Oxford Mail approached Thames Valley Police for comment but TVP declined to release any information about the incident.
