An Oxfordshire town hall has reopened after a sewage leak forced it to close temporarily.
Carterton Town Hall was closed yesterday (Monday, September 30) and reopened today (Tuesday, October 1), a spokesperson for Carterton Town Council has confirmed.
Thames Water responded to reports of a sewage overflow from a manhole near Carterton Town Hall yesterday afternoon which was then cleared.

A spokesperson for Thames Water said: "Our engineers discovered a blockage caused by an accumulation of wet wipes, fat and grease which was restricting flow in the sewer.
"This was cleared and the line was flowing as normal.
"Customers can help us prevent blockages, which can cause sewage to back up into peoples’ homes and gardens, by only flushing the three Ps – pee, poo and paper.”
