Two visiting steam trains joined the regular fleet at Didcot Railway Centre for its autumn gala last weekend.

The gala, which ran from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22, featured two 1940s tank engines.

One was No 41241 from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, which boasts a striking red livery.

These visitors were joined by Didcot’s No 4144 in its familiar green livery, and the small No 1340, which handled shunting duties.

The railway centre will be holding Diesel Days this weekend, on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29.

Visitors will be able to enjoy unlimited rides on diesel locomotives operating on at least one of the centre's two demonstration lines.
