A show exploring the works of Da Vinci and Michelangelo is set to take to the stage in Henley this week.
The Da Vinci Michelangelo Experience, now in its ninth season, has toured the United States and had a nine-month run off-Broadway.
It will be performed at Kenton Theatre on Thursday, September 26, as part of the production's first UK tour.
The show, which had its 100th performance in New York City on March 11, 2022, is hosted by Mark Rodgers, the director of The Da Vinci Machines and Michelangelo Exhibitions for North America.
Audiences will be taken on a journey through the Italian Renaissance, featuring videos, 3D animation, film clips, and images of Michelangelo and Da Vinci's sketches, inventions, machines, sculptures, codices, and paintings.
Some of the famous artworks explored during the show include the Sistine Chapel, the Mona Lisa, the Statue of David, and Da Vinci’s machines.
The performance also draws parallels between these historical figures and present-day figures like Jacques Cousteau, Les Paul, Van Cliburn, and Paul McCartney.
The show runs for two hours with a 15-minute intermission.
It has received praise from critics, including one who said Mr Rodgers "delivers an oration and storyline that never loses you or your attention," adding he was "fascinated with all of it, captivated by most of it”.
