An academic summer school provider has been presented with a prestigious award by the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire.

It was announced on May 6 that Oxford Royale had received the King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

The award was then presented in person by Marjorie Glasgow at a ceremony on September 19.

The King's Awards for Enterprise, previously known as the Queen's Award for Enterprise, are some of the most esteemed awards in UK business.

This year, 252 enterprises from across the UK were honoured.

After the award was announced in May, George Humphreys, CEO of Oxford Royale, said: "We are delighted to receive this prestigious award, which serves as a testament to our commitment to providing transformative educational experiences for students worldwide, right here in the UK."

This is the fourth time Oxford Royale has been recognised, having previously received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2019, 2016, and 2012.

"Every year they welcome students aged 13-18 from over 175 nations to their summer schools, who get to know and inspire one another on campus at our world-leading universities.

"As such, Oxford Royale not only promotes British culture, but builds community, thus advancing two of the King’s personal priorities for his reign."

Oxford Royale offers young people "outstanding academic and career preparation" through courses in various subject areas such as law, medicine, and business.

It also provides students with an "immersive" cultural experience through various excursions and extracurricular activities.

The organisation is a multi-award-winning international summer school for students aged 13-18.

It offers a wide range of career-focused subjects across its campuses in Oxford, Cambridge, and London.
