Police have reassured members of the community that an incident in Oxfordshire involving a schoolgirl is "likely not an attempted abduction".
Thames Valley Police said a local school issued a message regarding a "worrying incident" in which a school girl was "beckoned into a car on her way to school" in Chipping Norton.
However, police say that as a result of the message a male has identified himself as the driver and explained the misunderstanding.
