A terrified swan was rescued after it wandered on to the road at a major junction.
Thames Valley Police officers from South Oxfordshire and Vale's incident crime response (ICR) team hauled the bird from the Marcham Interchange with the A34 on Friday morning (September 20).
With the help of a passerby the bird was saved and is now being cared for by a vet.
According to charity Swan Lifeline, swans often mistake roads for a river, especially if it's been raining.
But they can also mis-time a landing or crash land where they aren't supposed to be.
Officers posted the following message on the TVP South Oxon and Vale of White Horse Facebook page: "Thanks to the help from a member of the public, the swan was taken to the vets in order to receive treatment."
