A manager of a carpet store has avoided jail to committing fraud and stealing over £26,000 from the company.
Anhar Ali, of Titup Hall Drive, Oxford, was a deputy manager and then manager at Carpet Right in Oxford between November 19, 2020 and May 13, 2022.
During this time, the 29-year-old admitted to committing fraud by making £26,056.18 by ‘not safeguarding the financial interests’ of the company.

Ali pleaded guilty to one count each of fraud by abuse of position and theft by employee on Tuesday (August 20).
His was sentenced Oxford Crown Court on September 19.
Ali was given a 16-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. He was also ordered to complete 180 hours of unpaid work and was made subject to a curfew.
