Legendary rock band The Darkness have announced they will play a gig in Oxford on their new tour.
Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain and Rufus Tiger Taylor will stop off at the city to play a show at New Theatre on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
The band will begin the lengthy tour at Ipswich Regent Theatre on Friday, March 7 next year before finishing at the London OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday, March 29.
Formed in Lowestoft, Suffolk in 2000, the band brought a refreshing mix of glam and heavy rock to the British music scene.

Known for songs including ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ and ‘Love is Only a Feeling’ as well as Christmas hit ‘Christmas Time (Don’t Let the Bells End)’, The Darkness remain a popular outfit.
The band are no strangers to Oxford, having played multiple gigs at the O2 Academy on Cowley Road in the 2010s.
Queen drummer Brian May even attended the group’s gig at the venue on Saturday, December 19, 2015.

The presale for the gig will be available from 10am on Thursday, September 26, while the regular ticket sale will commence on Friday, September 27.
The Darkness will be supported by fellow band Ash for the gig.
