The public has been warned about the serious health risks of toxic water in an Oxfordshire lake.
Witney Lake, also known as Duck Lake, has developed algae after receiving flood waters from the River Windrush throughout this year.
New photographs show the lake to have changed colour with a blanket of green algal bloom coating the surface of the water.
Locals have been told that the water, should it come into contact with people or animals such as dogs, could have serious health implications.

The Environment Agency is now working in tandem with Witney Town Council in an attempt to find a solution to the issue.
A statement was released by the council on Tuesday and said: “The Witney Lake (also known as Duck Lake) has been inundated for a number of months this year from flood waters from the River Windrush.
“This has raised the level of potassium and other contaminants which has resulted in its current algal bloom.
“While the lake is safe to walk around, please protect yourself and any pets by not swimming or having any contact with the water.
